SWISS STEAK ITALIAN 
2 lbs. beef round steak, 1/2 inch thick
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. butter
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 (4 oz.) c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Cut meat into serving pieces, coat with flour. Melt butter in a large covered skillet, brown meat slowly on all sides. Add tomatoes, salt, basil and pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes; add onion and green pepper. Cook 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Top meat with cheese, heat until cheese melts.
