GREEN TOMATO AND DEER MEAT
MINCEMEAT
 
3 lb. green tomatoes
3 lb. apples, peeled and ground
3 lb. brown sugar
2 lb. raisins

Cover tomatoes with cold water; boil 5 minutes, drain and add other ingredients. Cook 1 hour until done. Stir often. Add 2 tablespoons salt, 1 cup deer meat. 1/2 cup suet, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, 2 tablespoons cloves and 1 tablespoon nutmeg and 1/2 cup vinegar. Seal hot in hot jars.
