SCALLOPED POTATOES 
Sliced potatoes
Diced onions
Diced ham
Salt and pepper
Cheddar cheese
1 recipe white sauce (below)

FIRST LAYER: Sliced potatoes.

SECOND LAYER: Diced onions and ham

THIRD LAYER: Sliced potatoes

Add salt and pepper lightly between all layers. Add white sauce.

WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
Salt and pepper

Make more sauce if you use a large dish. Turn potatoes in microwave every 10 minutes for about 1/2 hour or until done. Stir if edges are done and center isn't. (I had to stir from the first time I turned the bowl.) Put Cheddar cheese on top the last few minutes. Put into large Corning Ware dish or glass dish with cover.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
