STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD | |
1 (10 oz.) bag or 2 2/3 c. unsalted pretzels, crushed into fine crumbs 3/4 c. butter, melted 2 tbsp. sugar 1 c. sugar 1 (18 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1 (9 oz.) whipped topping 1 (16 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored Jello 3 c. boiling water 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries Combine pretzels, butter, and 2 tablespoons sugar. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. Mix cream cheese with 1 cup sugar and the whipped topping. Spread over the cooled crust. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; drop frozen strawberries into gelatin and let thicken slightly in the refrigerator. Pour over topping mixture. Chill until set. Yields 12-20 servings. |
