CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
2 qts. canned tomatoes
4 slices onion
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
3 c. milk

Combine first 6 ingredients in pan. Simmer 10 minutes. Sieve. Melt butter, blend in flour. Stir in milk. Cook and stir until thickened. Slowly add hot tomato mixture stirring constantly. Serves 12.
