1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda and salt
1 cup dairy sour cream

Mix well. Drop dough by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Dip glass in sugar and flatten each cookie. Bake 8 minutes, 400°F. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
