GENOEFFA'S CHRISTMAS EVE SAUCE 
3 qts. tomato puree
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 lg. onion, chopped
3 cloves chopped garlic
4 slivers anchovies
Sugar to taste

Brown onion, garlic and anchovies in small amount of oil. Add tomato paste and 1 can water, cook for 30 minutes. Add tomato puree with 1 cup water. Season to taste and cook about 2 1/2 hours. Serve over capellini
