GREEN FAMILY CHRISTMAS EVE CHILI 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 c. flour
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
1 c. water
Chili powder to taste (approximately 3 tbsp.)
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper

Brown the beef with the onion and bell pepper; drain off fat. Stir in the salt and flour. Add tomatoes, water and chili powder. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer several hours. Add more water if necessary.

Add cooked pinto beans if desired. (Canned chili beans can also be used.) Double this recipe to make a Dutch oven full!
