DOUGHNUTS 
5 1/4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. melted lard

Mix all ingredients, roll out on floured board about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with doughnut cutter. Fry in deep fat (lard or Crisco). Fry on one side until golden brown, then flip over and fry until equally brown. Take out and set on brown bag paper to help soak up grease. Can be eaten plain or with powdered sugar.
