GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. butter flavoring
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. German chocolate

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well each time. Add flavorings and buttermilk. Sift flour, salt and soda together. Add half of dry ingredients, mixing well and then other half. Melt chocolate and add to mixture. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Remove from pan while still hot; cover well until cake has cooled.
