GERMAN POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3/4 lb. granulated sugar
3/4 lb. corn starch
6 eggs
Vanilla or lemon juice as desired

Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, corn starch, and vanilla or lemon juice. Beat all for a half hour. Bake in angel food cake tin or bundt pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool a half hour and remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
