8 onions, chopped 4 green peppers, chopped 1 qt. vinegar 4 heads of cabbage, chopped 12 lb. green tomatoes, chopped 3 tbsp. salt 1 3/4 c. sugar 8 large cucumbers, chopped 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. allspice 3 tbsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. ground cloves Mix all chopped vegetables. Mix with salt and sugar; let sit overnight. Add the final four ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Place in sterilized jars and seal. Place in boiling water for 5 minutes. |
