TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. tomato sauce
Lettuce, shredded and crisp
Cheddar cheese, grated
Tomatoes, chopped
Ripe olives, sliced
White or green onions, chopped
Avocado, sliced
Green pepper, chopped
Optional: sour cream, Thousand Island dressing, mayonnaise mixed with chili sauce, salsa, etc.

Brown the ground beef in a skillet until crumbly. Drain the fat. Add the taco seasoning mix, water and tomato sauce. Mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil, reducing heat and simmering, uncovered about 20 minutes. Place a generous amount of lettuce in a salad bowl. Top with about 3/4 cup of meat mixture and a little of all the condiments that you desire and top with sour cream or salad dressing, if desired. Decorate edge of bowl with tortilla or corn chips. 4 servings.
