“CRANBERRY FLUFF SALAD” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  CRANBERRY HAM SLICES

CRANBERRY FLUFF SALAD 
2 c. raw cranberries, chopped
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple
1 lb. miniature marshmallows
1 pt. heavy cream (whipped) or carton Cool Whip
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Combine chopped cranberries, sugar, and pineapple and let stand for at least 1/2 hour. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Refrigerate and allow to stand overnight for flavors to develop.

Makes about 10-12 servings.

My daughter-in-law told me of this recipe, said she tasted it at a employee dinner. She loved it but did not know how to make it.I make it every Thanksgiving and anytime I can get fresh cranberries. I've done quite a research on his recipe, but these reviews are the best. Been serving this for 5 years or so now and sometime I add red seedless grapes cut in half and the small can mandarin oranges drained and also gala or pink lady apples peeled and cut into small squares. Never tried it with Real Whip Cream but that will be the next change to this miraculous recipe that I have learned so much about and is so very delicious. Thank you one and all for all the great info and thank you COOKS.COM.

I am so glad I found this recipe! My MIL was searching high and low at home and couldn't find it. It had originally been her sister's recipe. She lives in MN so I appreciated the person who said in MN it's called Cranberry Salad. I just made it, with whipped cream, and it was out of this world! How wonderful to be able to pass this recipe on in our family.

Just tried this recipe. I prefer using mandarin oranges instead of crushed pineapple. Used heavy cream and the texture and taste are both great. Will serve during our Christmas dinner. Definitely a step up from the traditional cranberry salad.

My grandmother made this 50 years ago -- only she froze it and we put it out on the table it would be nice and cold.. It thaws fast. She used a package of dream whip and put 3/4 cup of english walnuts in it. I remember she would grind the cranberries in a old fashion grinder you clamp to the counter.. No food processor back then -- we have been making it since then.. Family tradition..

We have been making this for 20 years and we love it. We combine marshmallows, sugar and cranberries overnight and add halved grapes, tangerine cuties and green apples. Makes it a bit tart too relieve the sweet. Nuts are a must and NEVER EVER EVER use cool whip. Cool whip is the nasty tasting cheaters method. No self respecting chef would ever.use Cool Whip. Oil or cream...CREAM!!!!!!!???

I haven't made this yet but am in the process. I'm cooking the cranberries with the sugar today and tomorrow adding some of the other ingredients. Was wondering why no one cooks the fresh cranberries instead of grinding them. I am not using marshmallows at all. Probably apples and crushed pineapple. Nuts are questionable. Happy Thanksgiving!
