HOME MADE GRANOLA 
4 c. regular oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
1/2 c. sesame seed
1/2 c. coconut (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. safflower oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. caramel flavoring

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Spread on large cookie sheets and put in 200 degree oven for 2 1/2 hours. When cool, add 1 cup chopped dates or raisins, and 1 cup chopped walnuts or slivered almonds. Pour into containers. Cover tightly.
