LITTLE DEBBIE BARS | |
1 box Devil's food cake mix Mix as directed on box. Grease 2 jelly roll pans. Divide dough, 1/2 inch each pan. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. FILLING: 5 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 c. Crisco (not butter flavored) 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Blend flour, milk and salt. Heat until thickened. Cool thoroughly. Cream sugar, Crisco and butter at high speed. Beat in the filling mixture. Spread on top of one layer and cover with other layer. FROSTING: 1 1/3 c. sugar 6 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. milk 6 oz. chocolate chips Boil sugar, milk and butter for 1 minute. Take off stove and add chips. Stir until melted then spread on top layer of cake. |
