CHRISTOPHER'S CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
