FRUIT CRISP 
1 qt. of fruit (apples, peaches, cherries or berries)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
(For juicy fruits, add 2 tbsp. flour)
1 c. flour
3/4 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
(Or 1 c. self-rising flour in place of flour, baking powder & salt)
2 tbsp. melted butter

In 8 inch square baking dish put fruit and lemon juice over fruit. Sift sugar, cinnamon and flour if flour is needed and spread evenly over fruit.

Sift flour mixture and sugar. Add egg. Mix. Crumble this over first mixture. Pour melted butter evenly over mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
