ESCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 pt. oysters
2 c. cracker crumbs
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 c. milk

1. Look over oysters and remove any bits of shell.

2. Chop the oysters coarsely and combine with their liquor.

3. Mix cracker crumbs and melted butter; arrange a layer of 1/2 the buttered crumbs in a shallow baking dish.

4. Pour oysters over crumbs in a uniform layer, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
