1 pkg. Pillsbury yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter (melted)
1 egg
1 c. chopped nuts

FILLING:

2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling. In large mixing bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Mix until crumbly. Press into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 or 20 minutes until light golden brown.

Meanwhile, prepare filling: In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients, beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour filling over partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans. Return to oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set. Cool cut into 36 bars.
