GRANDAD'S FAVORITE MOLASSES
COOKIE
 
1 stick butter
1 c. molasses
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger

Place butter and molasses in pan. Stir over low heat until butter is melted. Add sugar and eggs. Blend. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to molasses mixture, alternating with milk. Mix well.

Drop from large tablespoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart and 1 inch from edge of sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. 1 cup raisins are optional.
