ITALIAN MEATLOAF 
3 slices rye bread with caraway seeds
4 slices white bread
2 cups water
2 lb. ground beef
2 eggs
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 can tomato sauce
dash oregano

Break bread slices into bowl. Add 2 cups water and mash bread. When soaked, add meat, eggs, onion, salt, pepper and cheese. Butter loaf pan. Form loaf. Put pats of butter on top. Brown 30 minutes at 375°F (longer if not brown). When brown, pour tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle oregano on top. Bake 1 hour more.
