PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. pumpkin
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
3 1/4 c. flour
Nutmeats, raisins, butterscotch chips (optional)

Mix all together and drop by spoonfuls on ungreased pan. Bake about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. half & half

Boil 2 minutes. Then add 1 cup powdered sugar. Frost while cookies are still warm.
