PUMPKIN SPICE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. butterscotch bits

Cream shortening, sugar, pumpkin, and egg until creamy. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; will be soft and smooth. Stir in raisins, nuts, and butterscotch bits.

Spoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
4 tsp. milk
1/2 c. dark brown sugar

Cook above ingredients until sugar dissolves then add: 1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until creamy with beaters and spoon a little on warm cookies.
