My grandmother always made it with a bit of vanilla extract, as well. She started with the dry ingredients and melted butter first, and mixed the milk and vanilla in after, though. Still, great recipe.

Good recipe, but 4 tbsp. of sugar was not enough. Make sure you add sugar to your liking.

My grandma used to make this I truly loved as well as the rest of my cousins, she made it for them at Christmas, but since I lived with her I got it more often.

We always put it in a bowl with some butter on top and eat it by racking some melt butter in every spoonful.

I have looked and looked for this recipe. I always loved this stuff as a kid and now I can pass it on to my baby girl. By the way scrambled eggs and biscuit are not any good without chocolate gravy.

Very quick and tasty. I added a tbsp of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon and it came out even better.

As a small boy at home mom would make chocolate gravy for us four boys - gravy, bacon, and eggs every weekend. Man was it ever yummy! Thanks!
