TURTLE CAKE | |
1 chocolate cake mix 1 bag caramels 1 stick butter 1 can Eagle brand milk 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips 1 (12 oz.) bag pecan pieces Mix cake per box instructions. Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. Pour enough cake mix on bottom of pan to cover (about 1/4 of the mixture). Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt caramels, milk, and butter. Pour this mixture over baked layer of cake. Pour remaining mix over top after stirring in the chocolate chips and pecan pieces into it. Return to oven and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with whipped cream and a candy turtle, if desired. |
