HAMBURGER BARLEY SOUP 
2 lbs. ground beef
16 oz. can tomatoes
6 oz. tomato juice
1/2 lb. string beans
7 c. water
1 c. celery, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
2 potatoes, diced
Garlic powder
2 tbsp. light soy sauce
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 c. pearl barley

Brown meat; drain. Add tomatoes, juice, water and beans. Simmer 1 hour. Add carrots and potatoes and cook 20 minutes longer.
