JUDY'S RYE BREAD | |
3 c. rye flour 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. dark sorghum 1 or 2 env. yeast 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 1/2 c. white sugar 2 tbsp. shortening 1 qt. boiling water White flour Pour water over ingredients, beat and cool. Add 1 or 2 envelopes yeast and enough flour to make smooth ball. Let rise until double; knead. Let rise, put in pans, let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
