DOUBLE FUDGE CHERRIES | |
1 (3 1/2 oz.) container red candied cherries 4 (1 oz.) squares semi-sweet chocolate About 36 semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil If cherries are syrupy, blot dry with paper towels. Stuff 1 chocolate morsel into each cherry; set aside. In double boiler, melt semi-sweet squares with oil over simmering water. Using fork, dip each stuffed cherry into melted chocolate. Turn cherry to coat evenly. Lift out, scrape gently on side of double boiler to remove excess. Place dipped cherries on waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Chill about 1 hour, until set. Store in air tight container, up to 2 weeks in refrigerator. Makes 3 dozen. |
