PEANUT BUTTER FINGERS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
2/3 c. peanut butter
2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, salt and soda together. Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and oatmeal. Mix well and spread in 2 greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cool and frost.

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter (crunchy is best)
1/2 c. milk or enough to make smooth

Mix and spread on cookies. Cut into "fingers" 1 x 3 inches.
