FRUIT COOKIE SHEET CAKE 
1 c. butter (softened)
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 to 8 apples or peaches

TOPPING:

2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Do not grease pan. Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, stirring vigorously. Combine dry ingredients. Add creamed mixture to dry ingredients.

Spread batter on cookie sheet (approximately 12 x 17 inch pan). For apples, peel, core and slice thick. For peaches, slice thick. Place sliced fruit close together in rows. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture over fruit. Bake 30 to 40 minutes.
