CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT SQUARES 
1 c. soft butter
2 c. sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts
4 sq. melted chocolate

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. soft butter
3/4 tsp. peppermint flavoring
1 tbsp. cream or half and half
1 sq. melted chocolate

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Stir in melted chocolate, flour, and nuts. Mix well and put in 9 x 13 greased pan at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes; cool in pan.

FROSTING: Cream butter and sugar; cream in peppermint flavoring. Frost cooled cake and dribble melted chocolate over top. Cut when chocolate has become hard.
