SHOTGUN WILLIE CHILI | |
3 lb. trimmed sirloin beef (cubed; drained) 2 med. onions (chopped) 1 tbsp. minced garlic 9 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 (15 oz.) tomato sauce 1/2 c. chili powder 1 (14 1/2 oz.) beef broth 1 tbsp. New Mexica chili powder 1 tbsp. each ground cumin, salt and vinegar 1 tsp. oregano pepper 1 tsp. cayenne pepper and hot pepper sauce In large bowl combine beef, onions, garlic. Brown beef 1/3 mixture in 3 tablespoons hot oil; remove and set aside. Repeat with remaining oil and beef; leave in pot. Add first cooked and all other ingredients; stir until well blended. Simmer covered 2 hours stirring occasionally. |
