TOFFEE BARS 
3/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. corn syrup
5 Hershey's bars

Melt butter in a heavy pan on low heat. Add sugar. Stir until begins to bubble briskly. Add water and syrup. Keep heat low. Stir until reaches 290 degrees or it cracks in cold water, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat at once.

Add nuts. Stir in very quickly. Pour on lightly greased cookie nuts. Stir in very quickly. Pour on lightly greased cookie sheet. Spread 1/4 inch thick. Loosen with a spatula after cool. Ice with melted Hershey's bars. Break in pieces.
