DANISH SUGAR COOKIES | |
1/2 c. powdered sugar 1 c. butter 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 egg 2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla Cream together butter, powdered sugar, granulated sugar and egg. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and vanilla. Cool mixture in refrigerator. Roll into walnut size balls and place on cookie sheets. Press with fork dipped in cold water. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. If doubling recipe use 1 cups shortening and 1 cup butter. |
