AUTHENTIC SCOTCH SHORTBREAD | |
12 oz. flour 4 oz. cornflour (cornstarch) 4 oz. icing sugar (confectioners') 16 oz. butter, room temperature Combine above ingredients. Knead together with hands until dough is nice and soft. Spread out evenly on an ungreased 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 inch pan. Prick dough with fork. Place in 300 degree oven for 50 minutes. WATCH CLOSELY. Remove from oven when golden. Cut into squares while warm. |
