BUTTERMILK CRESCENT ROLLS
3 1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. butter

Combine 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and yeast. Heat buttermilk, water and butter to 120 degrees. Add to dry ingredients; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add 1/2 cup flour. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Stir in more flour to make a soft dough. Knead then place in a greased bowl, turn to coat top. Let rise until double. Punch down, cut dough in half.

Roll each half into a 12 inch circle. Brush with melted butter. Cut each into 12 pie shaped pieces. Roll up each wedge starting with the large end, seal points firmly. Place on greased baking sheets with the points down, about 2 inches apart. Curve, let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 dozen rolls.
