HUNGARIAN CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
1 lg. onion or 2 sm., diced fine
3 tbsp. fried meat grease (bacon grease)
Paprika
Water
2-3 carrots (long wise)
1/2 can strained tomatoes
1 stem celery
Chicken
1 c. flour
1 egg

Have chicken cut up and washed thoroughly. Cook onion in grease until brown. Add paprika until red; add chicken and cover with water. Put in 2-3 carrots (long wise) and 1/2 can strained tomatoes and 1 stem of celery. Cook until tender and make dumplings.

DUMPLINGS:

1 c. flour (self-rising)
1 egg

Sift flour and break egg into it and stir until like biscuit dough (may need tiny bit of water). Take chicken and carrots out of liquid and drop dumplings - 1/2 teaspoon into boiling liquid. Dip spoon into liquid to keep from sticking to the spoon.
