BREAD PUDDING 
PUDDING:

4 c. broken stale bread
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter

SAUCE:

3 to 4 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
2 c. water

PUDDING: Grease 2 quart casserole. Add bread. Mix milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar and butter. Pour over bread. Punch bread down into liquid. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until brown.

SAUCE: Mix flour, butter and sugar in saucepan. Add milk and stir well. Add vanilla and water. Stir. Cook until thickened. Pour sauce over pudding when served. Serve hot.

Serves 6.
