REALLY DIFFERENT FRUIT CAKE 
One large white cake mix, mixed by directions. Make four layers and cool. Place first layer on cake plate. Put mashed bananas on top, then second layer. Put pineapple on top, then third layer. Put strawberries on top, then fourth layer. Make 7 Minute Icing to put on top of each as you stack. Then cover the whole cake with icing. You have a four layer fruit cake.

7 MINUTE ICING:

2 egg whites, room temperature
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water (7 tbsp.)
1 tsp. vanilla

Place egg whites, sugar and water in top of double boiler. Beat thoroughly. Place over hot water. Beat and cook until hot. Add cream of tartar. Continue to cook until icing is thick and holds peaks. Remove, add vanilla and beat one minute. Spread between and over top and sides of cake.
