SWEET AND SOUR BAKED BEANS | |
8 slices bacon, fried & crumbled 4 lg. onions, sliced into rings 1/2 to 1 c. light brown sugar 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 3 1/4 c. cider vinegar 2 (15 oz.) cans dried lima beans 1 (1 lb.) can green lima beans 1 (1 lb.) dark red kidney beans 1 (1 lb.) can New England baked beans Drain all beans. Place onion in skillet. Add sugar, mustard, garlic salt and vinegar. Cook covered for 20 minutes. Mix beans and place in a 3-quart casserole or 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Pour onion sauce over beans and sprinkle bacon on top. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. |
