2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. sea salt or substitute 1 tsp. baking powder Pinch cinnamon 1/4 c. molasses or 1/4 c. raw honey 1/4 c. polyunsaturated oil 1 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or cashews) 1 tbsp. orange rind Sift together flour, soda, salt, baking powder and cinnamon. Add remaining ingredients and stir all together. Pour into loaf pan and let stand for 20 minutes. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes to an hour. (Grist Mill flour may be mixed with white flour.) |
