SNICKERDOODLES 
These are the ultimate Christmas cookies! Everyone loves them.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins

Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkle:

2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in whole egg and egg yolk. Sift flour and baking soda with 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg. Mix into batter. Fold in walnuts and raisins.

Drop from a teaspoon 2-inches apart onto a buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen cookies.
