YUMMY POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter (good brand)
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
7/8 c. ginger ale

Cream butter until light. Cream in sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in 1 cup flour, then add extracts and a little of the ginger ale. Continue adding flour, alternating with ginger ale until all are used and batter is smooth.

Grease and flour either two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans or 1 angel food pan. Pour batter in. Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour, 45 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean and cake has begun to shrink from sides of pan.
