ADVENTURES 
1 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
Coconut to roll cookies
1 pkg. Kellogg's Rice Krispies
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. pitted dates (cut fine)
1 c. nuts, cut in 1/2

Melt butter and sugar over low heat in large pan. Remove from heat, stir in milk and dates; return to range. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Again remove from heat and add a small amount of hot mixture to combined beaten egg, vanilla and salt. Stir into hot mixture, cook over medium heat about two minutes. Remove from range. Add nuts and rice krispies. Cool slightly, drop by teaspoons into coconut.

Slightly shape mixture into small balls. Roll in coconut and flatten slightly. Place on wax paper. When cool, store in cookie jar. These keep well and are very good as well as pretty. (Use enough krispies to handle well.)
