FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. fruit cocktail

FROSTING:

1/2 stick butter
1 c. Pet milk
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut

Mix dry ingredients together in large bowl; add fruit cocktail and eggs. Beat well then pour into oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

FROSTING: Bring to a boil and boil about 3 to 4 minutes. Pour over cake in pan while cake is still warm.
