FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. fruit cocktail with juice (add water to make 2 c.)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar

Mix sugar, flour, soda, eggs and fruit cocktail together. Pour into greased oblong pan. Mix the nuts and brown sugar and sprinkle on top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1 c. flake coconut
3/4 c. evaporated milk

Melt butter in saucepan. Add coconut and milk. Boil for 2 minutes. Pour over cake while hot.
