PUMPKIN BREAD 
2 3/4 cups sugar
4 eggs
2/3 cup butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
2/3 cup nuts
2 cups pumpkin
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 cup raisins

Mix all ingredients together; pour into 2 greased loaf pans.

Bake 60 minutes in a 350°F oven.

Fruit Bread Variation:

2/3 cup candied cherries (red or green)
2/3 cup candied pineapple (white, red or green)

For a festive treat, replace nuts and raisins with candied fruit.
