CHICKEN AND DRESSING LAYERED
HOTDISH
 
1 chicken
Chopped celery
Sage
1 can cream of chicken soup
Bread cubes
Chopped onion
Poultry seasoning
Melted butter

Boil or pressure cook 1 chicken, cut into pieces. Reserve broth. Bone chicken when cool and cut into smaller pieces. Make a dressing of bread cubes, celery, onion, sage, and poultry seasoning. Moisten with broth and melted butter. Layer dressing and chicken in a greased baking dish or pan. End with a layer of dressing. Dilute a can of cream of chicken soup with broth and pour over dressing. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until well heated through. May be made ahead and refrigerated. Add soup just before baking.
