QUICK SPANISH RICE 
1 c. long grain rice
1 onion, chopped
1/2 can (4 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tbsp. shortening
2 c. water
2 bouillon cubes
1/4 green pepper
Salt
Garlic salt
Seasoning salt

In saucepan, brown rice with shortening and stir constantly until brown. Add tomato sauce and stir. Add water, 2 bouillon cubes, onions, dash of salt to taste, dash of garlic salt, seasoning salt, 1/4 green pepper, chopped or whole and let simmer. Do not stir. Add water as it evaporates.
